Square board 8-port R8139 connected with external antenna

The following figure shows the structure of the external 8-port square R8139:

The external 8-port square R8139 has the following characteristics:

  1. The A1+, A1-, A2+, and A2- port support the 900/1800/2300 MHz frequency bands. The B1+, B1-, B2+, and B2- ports support the 2.6G frequency band.

  2. The 900/1800/2300 MHz frequency bands are combined and then power-divided, where A1+ and A2+ are peer channels and A1- and A2- are peer channels. A+ and A- are paired. "A1+ and A2+" or "A1- and A2-” cannot work together.

  3. The B1+, B1-, B2+, and B2- ports all support NR, but only B1- and B2- support the LTE 2.6 GHz frequency band. The B2+ and B1+ ports do not support the LTE 2.6 GHz frequency band. Pay special attention when you deploy the LTE 2.6 GHz frequency band. In this case, the B2+ and B1+ ports do not have LTE 2.6 GHz signals.

  4. In the 4G system, dual streams can be generated only when the main and diversity antennas work together. In the 5G system, dual streams can be generated when any 2-channel antennas are connected.

Example of the external 8-port square R8139 installation scenarios:

Characteristics: Each antenna supports LTE 2T2R and NR 4T4R.

Characteristics: Each antenna supports only LTE 1T1R and NR 1T1R.

Note: This scenario is not applicable when the LTE 2.6 GHz frequency band is deployed. The B2+\ and B2- ports do not have LTE 2 6 GHz signals.

Square board 4-port R8139 connected with external antenna

The following figure shows the structure of the external 4-port square R8139:

The external 4-port square R8139 has the following characteristics:

  1. The A1+, A1-, A2+, and A2- ports support the 900/1800/2300 MHz frequency bands and the 2.6 GHz frequency band.

  2. The 900/1800/2300 MHz frequency bands are combined, power-divided, and then are combined with the 2.6 GHz frequency band. For the 900/1800/2300 MHz frequency bands, A+ and A- are paired. "A1+ and A2+" or "A1- and A2-” cannot work together.

  3. The A1+, A1-, A2+, and A2- ports all support NR 2.6 GHz, but only A1- and A2- support the LTE 2.6 GHz frequency band. The A2+ and A1+ ports do not support the LTE 2.6 GHz frequency band. Pay special attention when you deploy the LTE 2.6 GHz frequency band. In this case, the A2+ and A1+ ports do not have LTE 2.6 GHz signals.

  4. In the 4G system, dual streams can be generated only when the main and diversity antennas work together. In the 5G system, dual streams can be generated when any 2-channel antennas are connected.

Example of the external 4-port square R8139 installation scenarios:

Characteristics: Each antenna supports LTE 2T2R and NR 4T4R.

Characteristics: Each antenna supports LTE 2T2R and NR 2T2R. (Only 1T1R when using 2.6GHz.)

Characteristics: Each antenna supports only LTE 1T1R and NR 1T1R.

Note: This scenario is not applicable when the LTE 2.6 GHz frequency band is deployed. The A2+ and A2- ports do not have LTE 2 6 GHz signals.

Note: It is not supported to implement coverage of different areas by connecting two 2-channel antennas. When single-channel antennas are connected to cover different time zones, LTE 2.6 GHz cannot be deployed.

Round board 6-port R8139 connected to external antenna

The following figure shows the structure of the external 6-port round R8139:

The external 6-port round R8139 has the following characteristics:

  1. The B1+ and B1- ports are applicable to the 850/1800/2100 MHz frequency bands. The A1+, A1-, A2+, and A2- ports are applicable to the 3.5 GHz frequency band.

  2. The 850/1800/2100 MHz frequency bands are combined in the equipment.

Example of the external 6-port round R8139 installation scenarios:

Characteristics: Each antenna supports LTE 2T2R and NR 4T4R.

Characteristics: Each antenna supports LTE 2T2R and NR 4T4R.

The insertion loss of the combiner should be less than 1 dB. If the insertion loss is too large, it may cause imbalance of 5G channels.

Round board 4-port R8139 connected to external antenna

The following figure shows the structure of the external 4-port round R8139:

The external 4-port round R8139 has the following characteristics:

The A1+, A1-, A2+, and A2- ports do not have frequency band identifications. It is applicable to the R8139 T2600D and R8139 T3500D models.

Example of the external 4-port round R8139 installation scenarios:

Characteristics: Each antenna supports NR 4T4R.

Characteristics: Each antenna supports only NR 1T1R.
