UMTS Inter-RAT Infeed

1. Installation Scenarios

  1. RF infeed single-channel coupling scenario

  2. RF infeed dual-channel coupling scenario

GSM inter-RAT infeed

1. Installation Scenarios

  1. Scenarios with single-channel independent GSM source feeding

  2. Scenarios with multi-channel independent GSM source feeding

  3. Scenarios with single-channel feeding of multiplexed GSM macro base stations

  4. Scenarios with multi-channel feeding of multiplexed GSM macro base stations

2. Installation Notes

  1. For a GSM feeding cell, feeding must be performed for all configured TX channels; otherwise, it may cause service failure or service interruption. The requirement does not apply to pure RX channels.

  2. In the case of feeding multiple TX channels in the same GSM feeding-source cell, the coupler needs to be connected first. Signals are combined through the combiner, and then are connected to the MAU.

  3. Limited to male and female connectors for the interfaces of connection devices such as the coupler, the feeding positions are located at the 1/2 jumper and 7/8 feeder in GSM macro base station multiplexing scenarios.

  4. Limited to the transmission distance of the 1/2 feeder, the MAU and GSM sources need to be deployed in the same location.
